Neu mit dabei in unserem exklusiven Testkreis, unsere liebe Taya aus Peru. Wir freuen uns ganz besonders unsere erste Frau im Chala-Testkreis begrüßen zu dürfen. Über einen lieben Freund (Florent) haben wir uns schon vor einigen Jahren kennengelernt, Taya und Florent haben einen ganz besonderen Draht nach Freiburg und schauen das ein oder andere mal im Jahr in der Region vorbei, natürlich haben sie es sich nie nehmen lassen jedes mal einen Besuch bei uns im Laden Freiburg zu machen. Die beiden sind in der ganzen Welt unterwegs und viel auf Reisen, Ihre Basis derzeit ist Lima (Peru), sie sind aber genauso in Frankreich, Spanien oder eben im Schwarzwald zuhause. Erst vor wenigen Wochen haben wir uns in unserer Produktion in Freiburg auf ein "Schwätzchen" getroffen. Wir freuen uns auf einen intensiven Austausch und viele Rückmeldungen. Taya trägt seit einiger Zeit unser Piñatex Premium Modell und testet das innovative Material auf Herz und Nieren:-).
Hey there! I’m Taya. I am an adventure-lover and thrill-seeker who loves to laugh and explore places, wherever my feet may take me. From windsurfing to snow skiing; from water-skiing to strolls in the forest; from open water diving to climbing volcano summits; and from field hockey to spending fun time in the waves, I especially enjoy sports that allow me to be, and to feel, closer to nature. However, I also enjoy pausing every once in a while to appreciate my surroundings, read a book, and enjoy a good conversation. I feel at home the most wherever the ocean is, so if any of those happen near the ocean, it is the perfect combination.
This connection to nature drove me to study something that would allow me to work FOR it. I saw how much potential there is in the forests of my country (wonderful Peru!) as well as potential to solve inequalities that involve nature as well as minority groups, and work towards supporting them all with a voice, as they often lack the support to speak out for themselves. This leads me to travel the world, and, together with my curiosity and excitement to discover and understand new places, it means that I travel quite a bit, learning more about life, perspectives, and filling my heart with memories!
And of course… wherever I go, my Chalas go too :).
