Anyone who knows my blog knows this: I love writing long, emotional texts filled with passion. But today, I want to keep it brief and focus on what truly matters. Because today, I have news for you that means an incredible amount to me – and that will change everything for you.
It all began in 2012. That was 14 years ago. Through this blog, I’ve always shared my journey with you on a very personal level. And it is here that I want to open the next big chapter.
We are taking a step into the future.
Our manufactory is transforming. But that also means: This will be our last summer together. We are closing our e-commerce shop for end customers. Starting today, the countdown runs for exactly three months and 11 days. After that, regular production will come to a final end.
- The official start date: May 19, 2026
- The final end: August 31, 2026 at 24:00
Until that moment, you have the very last opportunity to equip yourselves for the years ahead. Configure your barefoot sandals, design your Único’s according to your wishes, or send us your favorites for a fresh resole.
An important promise to you: Every order placed by August 31 at 24:00 will be produced 100% and delivered reliably! This, of course, includes all current orders as well as older orders from recent months. You will definitely receive your shoes.
What comes after? The step toward “Shared Production”
I hope this news doesn’t shock you too much. Our journey continues – just in a new, incredibly exciting form. We are withdrawing from online retail and transforming our modern manufactory in Freiburg into a creative craft hub.
We are opening our doors and making our high-end infrastructure accessible to people who want to bring their own projects to life: designers, product developers, and craftsmen. Starting this fall, we will offer permanent workspaces, flexible booking options, and our extensive know-how as a service.
And there’s more behind the term “Shared Production”: We will be licensing selected top products. What exactly this means and where this journey will lead remains—at least for now—our little secret ;-)
Key facts at a glance:
- Last chance: Our online shop will close after this summer.
- Timeframe: From May 19, 2026 to August 31, 2026 (24:00), you can place your final orders. After that, the system will be deactivated.
- Delivery guarantee: Every order received by then will be fully produced and shipped.
- Final sale: In early September, there will likely be a large on-site warehouse sale (date to follow).
- Renovation from September on: We will immediately begin redesigning the hall for our new co-workers and machine license users.
