This year we are not as far as last year at this time!
The big move set us back a lot in terms of time. So we didn't have the capacity that we usually have in January and February to advance our new collection and expansions accordingly. Last year at this time we were a lot further and already presented our entire new Black Forest collection in February. Nevertheless, the Alpini model, which we launched in mid-April, was added quite spontaneously from a Swiss customer friend of ours. So it's also possible that we'll spontaneously add one or the other in spring this year ;-). So our preview for 2023 is growing iteratively again this year...
We were able to implement almost all of our goals from 2022, and we were even able to update the Black Forest sandals spontaneously to our enforced side strap buckle concept in autumn. Only the Único Light and the children's sandals we couldn't make it anymore. Nevertheless, I would like to tell you the first secrets now. These are already certain and will surely come. I'm sure there will be some good news for you...
Of course, we are still planning on the slimmed-down Único Light variant; the complex customized concept will not be imposed on it and in all likelihood it will not be manufactured in our manufactory. We have found a great Slovenian shoe manufacturer who will produce the shoes according to our ideas. We will expand our popular Alpini collection, so the Alpini will also be available in leather;-). And made of the very high-quality Black Forest Hof leather, which we were able to collect in autumn 2022. The leather and colors are limited and only available in blue, red, brown and black. The Único BF collection will also be expanded with these colors, especially black. The new high-quality BF leathers will also come into their own in the Antique 2.0 and the top-selling EVO 5.0 models...

So, we are pretty clear now and know exactly what we want to offer you in 2023...
In the past week we have thought about it intensively again, weighed a lot, thought back and forth. How we can produce and offer the whole variety of Chala® for you, which is also affordable for us. It wasn't easy, but a lot is becoming much more individual, it's going even more in the direction of "manufacturing on demand". All sandals models for adults are finally offered in two different widths, in slim & wide. We have been offering this for the premium models Black Forest and Alpini since last year. This has become established and accepted, so this year we are rolling out the two-width program for all adult sandal models. To name just a few advantages, a better fit for you, especially if you have slim feet, less sending back and forth, significantly reduces the return rate, saves important resources and unnecessary effort.
There is more sole individuality with our top seller EVO. Already last year some customers asked us if we could equip our EVO 5.0 with the Alpini sole!? We were happy to do that at the customer's request. Now we want to offer this to all of you, starting next week you can order the EVO with an individual sole, e.g. the more aggressive trail sole (from Alpini) from the Vibram® Megalug / Megagrip series in slim or wide.
When exactly will the first major update happen? I think we can make the bigger sandals update by Friday, February 24th. In the course of this, our prices will also be adjusted and changed.
Small launching update from 02/26/2023
There's a lot coming up now in March and we'll be presenting something new every week. So on March 1st there will be the new highlight, the entire Alpini leather collection in four beautiful colours. A week later comes the new Antique in black and a completely new black, completely vegan version. On March 15th our new EVO leather will be available in black and for all EVO models more individual soles with the choice of the robust Alpini sole with studs. At the end of March we are planning three new BF leather colors at Único and at the beginning of April our special Kaktus Único variant will come, probably in three colors...
What's coming, short and sweet!?
* The Alpini leather comes in 4 colors from the high-quality Black Forest Hof leather.
* All sandals models for adults are finally offered in two different widths, in slim & wide.
* Único, will be further developed conceptually, there will be new BF colors, especially all black.
* The Kaktus Premium Único will come, naturally vegan and purely plant-based.
* The Único Light planning, design and prototype development is going on, maybe we can realize it this year.
* The Antique 2.0 will come in black and dark brown.
* With our top seller, the EVO 5.0, there will be one or two new variants made of Black Forest Leather®, primarily in black. In addition, we will also offer the even more aggressive trail sole (from Alpini) from the Vibram® Megalug / Megagrip series, to choose from for all EVO models.
* We are also working on an Alpini Kid's variant, but we haven't decided on the details yet, let's see if we can do it for spring 2023.
* The popular EVO Kids will be available with a 15mm system band in a number of colors and up to size 39
* Unfortunately, the high inflation has also increased our raw material prices constantly & monthly so far, i.e. we definitely have to increase our prices in February.
Surely one or the other will be added here until the start of the season in April, we look forward to the upcoming spring with all of you.
