FAST AND EFFECTIVE WEATHER PROTECTION - whether it's rain, wind, cold, mud or snow - your feet stay warm and dry. Warm, windproof, water-repellent, breathable and, because many of you have asked for it, now also 100% waterproof, thanks to the highly functional OnTex® Lycra fleece membrane or the even more robust, high-quality 4-layer laminate from Japan as the outer material. We seal every seam precisely with waterproof tapes, similar to shell clothing. The OverShoe 2.0 is the ideal product for anyone who wants to keep wearing their beloved comfortable (barefoot) shoes in winter. They fit over almost any shoe - whether trainers, sneakers, low shoes, ankle boots, with and without heels, they fit particularly well with barefoot shoes with a wide toe box and wider cuts - even toe shoes. The combination is of course perfect with our Único shoe. UNIQUE QUALITY - Almost everyone has a good rain jacket, but why don't we all have a high-quality, sustainable rain jacket for our shoes? We have been offering our OverShoe since 2021 and are of course constantly developing it further. It is truly unique on the market in terms of quality, fit and design. The OverShoe 2.0 is now available in 3 model variants. You can choose between water-repellent and breathable, or the new 100% waterproof hydrophobic OnTex® Lycra fleece membrane upper material, up to the extremely robust 4-layer laminate, also waterproof with a very high water column of 25,000mm. Our major OverShoe 2.0 product update in 2024 includes an even more robust Tecno 4.0 sole carrier material, a heel reinforcement, the more stable and extra wide weld seam tape made exclusively for us with new branding. Model 1 - The OverShoe Light 2.0: Water-repellent or 100% waterproof, is the light entry-level version, open at the bottom, which is often sufficient for everyday activities, on the bike, to school, to kindergarten or to work, when it starts to rain or snow, on walks or with the dog outside. Perhaps you are wondering how an overshoe that is open at the bottom can still offer very good weather protection? Well, this is possible with an excellent sole connection using an elasticated band and TPU system strap. The quality elasticated strap allows the overshoe to be pulled perfectly onto the edge of any sole using the clever Fixlock adjustment on the heel. The arch system strap further enhances this effect, especially in the arch area. This keeps water, dirt, wind and snow out for a long time. For information: shoes have the least wear and tear in the arch, as there is hardly any treading here and shoes usually have an upward curve at the front and only come into contact with the ground when rolling. In shoes with heels, there is no tread surface at all in the arch and our arch system ligament is therefore protected. All areas that come into contact with the ground have a robust rubberised TPU reinforcement, both in the toe cap and in the arch system strap, which can be purchased as an inexpensive replacement part if it should wear out. Model 2 - The OverShoe Pro 2.0 Newflex: water-repellent or 100% waterproof, is a closed, soled overshoe in contrast to the Light variant. It offers full weather protection. The highly technical fabric is so tightly woven that even strong winds can't get through! Whether you're walking for hours through heavy rain or mud, sledging or skiing with the kids on the piste, or on a demanding off-road tour, the Pro versions can do it all and offer the best protection against the cold and wet. Here, the sole is completely closed and offers additional insulation thanks to the 5mm thick Vibram® Newflex sole, which is glued to the ball of the foot and toe area. We have been familiar with this type of sole for many years from a number of sandal models, which have proven themselves and are perfectly adequate for many requirements. Do you want the non plus ultra? Model 3 - The Overshoe Pro 2.0 Arctic: water-repellent or 100% waterproof, instead of the everyday sole of the Newflex, it has the outstanding Vibram® Arctic-Grip sole technology, which offers 100% reliable slip resistance, especially on ice and snow. The high-tech sole technology is very expensive to buy, but worth every penny. We were able to test them ourselves on a large block of ice at a trade fair and were positively shocked that there are soles with which you can run on ice without slipping;-). In the waterproof version, the waterproof membrane incorporated into the OnTex® upper guarantees total, long-term water protection even under pressure, although the overshoe is naturally less breathable.Variant 4 - The OverShoe 2.0 as a shell variant. With the high-quality 4-layer laminate from Japan, consisting of nylon taffeta with PU membrane plus coating with a thickness of 260g/m². In contrast to 3-layer laminates, which consist of outer fabric, membrane and lining, a 4-layer laminate has an additional coating on the membrane. The outer fabric consists of a robust 70d nylon taffeta with a PU membrane laminated underneath and a thin, stable 20den nylon taffeta on the inside. The result is a robust fabric with a very high water column of 25,000mm. Despite its robustness, the laminate remains breathable, albeit slightly less than with a 3-layer laminate. The main advantage of a 4-layer laminate is the additional coating, which ensures significantly higher abrasion resistance.
Warm, stylish ankle warmer made from wool
Our fine sock cuff ankle warmer is not only warm, but also attractive. It can be pulled over or under any pair of trousers to form a kind of gaiter that warms the ankle and calf. It is made from a merino wool blend and is therefore naturally water-repellent, keeping dirt out and allowing water to roll off naturally. The special thing about wool: it keeps you warm even when damp or wet and does not absorb odours.
Outstanding sole technology thanks to the Vibram® Arctic Grip effect & the tried-and-tested Newflex sole
The Vibram® Arctic Grip sole is a highly innovative technology developed specifically for performance on wet ice. The unique polymer compound paired with an advanced filler system and new processing technology make the sole so unique. The Vibram® Arctic Grip offers the highest performance, outstanding quality and a durability that is worth seeing. The Newflex sole is, so to speak, the allrounder, showing its strengths particularly in off-road terrain and in wet conditions. It has a 2 mm deep zig-zag wave profile and a total thickness of 5 mm, which is ideal for many activities, casual or everyday use.
Lovingly handcrafted and as regional as possible
100% made in Freiburg. Like all our products, the Overshoe 2.0 is lovingly made by hand in our Freiburg factory. It is an elaborately crafted product with welded seams and made from technically advanced materials, for which two new machines were purchased in 2021. Where do the processed raw materials for the OverShoe come from? The tape, sewing thread, wool shaft, YKK zip and sole adhesive come from Germany, the Lycra fleece fabric with and without membrane is made especially for us in Spain and the Vibram® soles come from Italy. All our suppliers comply with the Oeko-Tex 100 standard.
