For everyone who wants to wear something special on their feet: EXTREMIUM combines premium quality and extreme performance in a unique barefoot sandal – 100% Made in Germany. We made no compromises during development. All materials and the entire supply chain are sourced from Germany, and only the highest-quality suppliers were shortlisted. Originally, we wanted to further develop the popular EVO, but after careful consideration, we decided: "Never change a running system!" The EVO remains as it is – but we have created a completely new thong barefoot sandal that sets new standards in terms of materials, comfort, and durability. The HEXAGRIP sole with its widely spaced, self-cleaning tread ensures a first-class barefoot feel and impresses with extremely low wear, ensuring it will accompany you for many summers to come. For the first time, we have integrated grounding – a small copper head ensures a natural connection to the earth. The entire buckle system has also been redesigned, especially the toe strap: It lasts longer, remains exceptionally comfortable, and doesn't pinch between the toes. The upper material is available in four beautiful colors, either in high-quality Hof leather or in non-slip synthetic leather certified according to OEKO-TEX® 100. For the first time, we've dispensed with a Vibram® sole and instead opted for the new BI-COLOR HEXAGRIP sole, which is not only extremely durable but also oil and acid resistant. Manufactured with the utmost precision in Freiburg, the EXTREMIUM offers an incomparable barefoot feeling – a sandal that will put a smile on your face with every step. The EXTREMIUM Adventure barefoot sandals are delivered in the usual high quality – packaged in high-quality Chala kraft paper, which provides optimal protection during transport, especially since many of our products have a wax finish.

7.8mm or 9.2mm thick 3-layer sandal
The new EXTREMIUM is available exclusively with a three-layer sole – perfect for demanding, trail-heavy terrain. The extremely shock-absorbing three-layer version is available either with a Poron XRD mid-layer and a waterproof, non-slip synthetic leather footbed (7.8 mm sole thickness) or with a Poron XRD mid-layer and a particularly comfortable Schwarzwald Hof leather footbed (9.2 mm sole thickness). Both versions reliably protect against impacts and the penetration of sharp stones and debris. The sole is bonded under perfect, even atmospheric pressure with a solvent-free, water-based adhesive. This not only ensures optimal flexibility and durability, but also improves bonding performance and makes production more sustainable, as waste and defective products are significantly reduced. The result is a high-quality tubular side strap sandal, available for the first time in two different widths – a request many customers have repeatedly expressed over the years. Now you can tailor the sole even better to your individual feet. The new bi-color outsole profile of the EXTREMIUM consists of a novel compact rubber sole from the HEXAGRIP series by OK Gummiwerke – Made in Germany. Designed for extreme conditions, it is perfect for agriculture, forests, rocky terrain, and trails worldwide. The sole is acid and oil resistant and offers outstanding grip – even on wet surfaces. Friction further enhances this effect, so that the sandal practically sticks to the ground. The aggressive, compact profile ensures maximum grip in every situation. Our sandals also come with a high-quality wax finish.
Bi-color colors, 100% vegan thanks to anti-slip synthetic leather or made from fine Black Forest farm leather
The sporty color combination of the EXTREMIUM sandal combines subtle black anti-slip synthetic leather or robust Schwarzwald Hof leather with the striking yellow Poron midsole and the new bi-color HEXAGRIP sole. This combination underscores the high standards with which the EXTREMIUM launches: extreme performance, maximum slip resistance, excellent lateral support thanks to the innovative toe post, and outstanding grip in the most demanding terrain – whether hiking, in the forest, in everyday life, in agriculture, while running, climbing, or racing. Even in wet conditions or under constant physical stress, your foot always stays in place. The Poron XRD does its job perfectly: It absorbs strong shock loads and absorbs impact energy without transferring it to your feet. This maximizes comfort with every step. However, there are subtle differences between the two footbed options: The vegan footbed material is particularly well-suited for wet conditions, ideal in heavy rain, mud, or soggy ground. The leather footbed, on the other hand, offers exceptional comfort thanks to its high-quality material and feels wonderful next to the skin. No matter which version you choose, EXTREMIUM is guaranteed to have the right model for everyone!
Extremely robust toe strap buckle system with integrated copper head grounding & aluminum anodized ladder buckle
The new EXTREMIUM has undergone a comprehensive buckle redesign, reflecting our 12 years of experience in sandal development. Webbing straps specially made for us by the Bleckmann weaving mill in Germany now offer extreme tensile strength and are heat-resistant up to 120 degrees Celsius. They are also woven according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (Class 1 – Baby Class), guaranteeing the highest quality. The newly developed toe-post strap is softer, yet thicker and more robust, ensuring significantly longer durability. A real highlight is the beautiful, lightweight, anodized aluminum ladder-type buckle, which we also source from Germany. It's particularly fine and expensive, but we wanted only the best for the EXTREMIUM. A particular request from many customers over the years was the integration of a grounding system into the sandals. Now it's here: a high-quality copper-head rivet that connects you directly to the earth. The entire, newly developed buckle system is complemented by a heel reinforcement made of robust Tecno 4.0 and Onsteam on the skin side – especially useful for extreme tours, as the heel rubber can give way. However, our heel reinforcement doesn't give way, offering more grip and ensuring secure support, no matter what you do. Just slip it on and go!
Handmade and regional
Like all our products, the Alpini is also lovingly made in our factory in Freiburg. It is a very complex product, where many manual actions and sewing steps are necessary. The sandal often goes through everyone's hands until it is finally finished. These sandals are designed to last a long time, simply brush them off under the tap if they are very dirty. Thanks to the innovative compact rubber sole, we give the sandal many years of durability. Because they fulfill an extremely important function very well, bringing your feet and toes safely through the rough terrain. Almost all raw materials are sourced exclusively from southern Germany.
